Support me as I walk to end Alzheimer's!
Almost a year ago, you so generously donated to the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk. Due to YOU, I raised many dollars for this project. Although many of you gave in memory of Allen, I want to continue to volunteer and raise money for Alzheimer's so YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN can live in a world without this evil disease.
I have been volunteering with the committee for their annual walk which this year is SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19.
I am still walking in memory of Allen but since Allen died I am walking for others that I love. Allen's sister, Joyce, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and two of my dear friends have also been diagnosed. Other family members and friends have lost loved ones with this disease this past year.
I am determined to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. By participating in the 2009 Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and 78 million baby boomers are at risk – unless we find a way to change the course of the disease.
I want to do my part to fight this disease, but I need to ask for your support! Please make a donation (NO MATTER HOW SMALL). It will help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's.
For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
On behalf of the millions of Americans who are living with this disease, thank you for supporting my efforts. We're on the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s!
